The 16th Annual Texas Country Reporter Festival

Many years ago, a very special man named Bob Phillips pulled his world-famous Texas Flag SUV into the town of Waxahachie. Before we knew it, the Texas Country Reporter Festival was born.

Taking place in the historic courthouse square in downtown Waxahachie, the Texas Country Reporter Festival has seen countless musicians, merchants, artists, artisans, and fans.  This year alone there will be over 300 booths full of food, fun, crafts, and other merchandise - not to mention a day full of live music, Bob Phillips, and the KBEC Crew with give-aways!

Among the live acts you will find this year will be the Prairie Dogs, Brian Houser, Merry and the Mood Swings, Dooney the gospel rapper, Blues Boy Willie, David Hartwig, and a free Firefall concert.

KBEC 1390 - Classic Texas Music - is proud to be once again involved in this year's Festival, with special thanks to our sponsors.  We will be reporting live from 9AM to 2PM from the corner of Main Street and College Street.  Miss Texas herself, Kendall Morris, will be joining us and selling t-shirts to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network.  We'll also be rolling out our Top 100 Texas Songs list - make sure to come let us know what you think about it.  So come on down, see the activities, and give us a shout!
