Salvation Army Seeks Volunteers for Red Kettle Campaign Amid Rising Needs

The holiday season is ringing in, and the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is ready to raise some serious funds this year. With their eye on a new goal of $1.6 million, the organization is calling for more volunteers to help spread the holiday cheer through bell ringing. Pam Hitch, a dedicated volunteer, is seeing more generosity from the community despite rising living costs—proof that the spirit of giving is very much alive!

Major Rob Webb, area commander of The Salvation Army North Texas, reports that the need for assistance has spiked by 20% this year, making funds raised from the kettles critically important. With only two weeks left until Christmas, they're currently resting at 42% of their goal. They're hoping to reach out to more kind-hearted folks willing to don those jingle bells and share a smile with passersby!

The more, the merrier, right? It's a win-win: you get some time outside, spread cheer, and help meet vital needs in your community. So, if you’ve been looking for a chance to get involved this holiday season, grab those donation buckets and let's make those bells jingle! After all, nothing says "holiday spirit" like a little friendly ringing!
