Texans land Marvin Harrison Jr. after first win, aiming for a quick impact

The Houston Texans finally have a win on the board, and they wasted no time making another move. Sunday’s 26-3 victory over Tennessee was powered by C.J. Stroud, who threw for 264 yards and a touchdown and added another score on the ground. Stroud still hasn’t thrown an interception this season, and Houston’s defense looked sharper with DeMeco Ryans calling the plays. That win also pushed the Texans ahead in the all-time series with the Titans, 25-24.

Then came the trade. Houston acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from Arizona, where he’d managed just five catches for 85 yards across four games. The upside here is familiarity: Harrison and Stroud were teammates at Ohio State, and Ryans is counting on that rapport to make the transition fast. Harrison is expected to join the team in Houston on Monday.

There’s still work to do. Penalties remain a stubborn issue, and Ryans was blunt that it isn’t good enough. Next up is a trip to London to take on the 4-1 Jaguars, who currently lead the AFC South. A win there would change the entire conversation about this season. What do you think: does the Harrison trade make Houston a real threat in the division, or is it too little, too late?
