The Dallas Cowboys never found the scoreboard in the first half Sunday night in Green Bay, and the Packers made them pay. Jordan Love threw for 276 yards and a touchdown and added a 1-yard scoring run, while Green Bay’s defense intercepted Dak Prescott twice on the way to a 23-13 win. It was the Cowboys’ first scoreless opening half since November 2021.
The Packers have now won three straight and improved to 11-1-1 in their last 13 meetings with Dallas. The game was far from clean, though. The teams combined for 22 penalties and 204 yards of flags, and Packers receivers dropped three passes that would have been touchdowns, keeping the final score closer than the action suggested. For Dallas, the loss drops the Cowboys to 2-4 and raises questions about an offense that stalled for two full quarters.
Green Bay could get another boost Monday, when Josh Jacobs comes off the commissioner’s exempt list after not playing all season. For Cowboys fans in Waxahachie and across Ellis County, the Sunday night blues are real this week, but Friday night lights still belong to our local teams.
