Stroud, Texans Face McCarthy-Led Giants With Receiver Room at Full Strength

The Texans head into Sunday’s home matchup with the New York Giants riding a hot hand. C.J. Stroud threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns in Houston’s 34-31 London win over Jacksonville and earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. He’s now second in the NFL with 1,714 passing yards and leads the league with 25 completions of 20-plus yards, giving the Houston offense a big-play identity.

The supporting cast is finally catching up to him. Tank Dell is set to play his first game in nearly two years after a long knee rehab, and Marvin Harrison is expected to see more work after his Texans debut. With Nico Collins and Jaylin Noel already contributing, Stroud has more options than he’s had all season.

The Giants come in 3-2-1 and just benched Jameis Winston for J.J. McCarthy, making him their third starting quarterback this season. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said the quarterback change doesn’t dictate what Houston does defensively, and with Will Anderson Jr. leading the NFL in sacks, the pass rush wants a bounce-back after recording none last week. The Giants have won five straight in the series since Houston’s 2002 inaugural-season victory. Who are you starting in fantasy this week: Stroud or McCarthy?
