Wembanyama’s 29 and 10 power Spurs past Kings 130-103

The Spurs are on the board at home. San Antonio beat Sacramento 130-103 on Tuesday night behind 29 points and 10 rebounds from Victor Wembanyama, who matched a career high with nine dunks and shot 14 of 21 from the floor. Julian Champagnie added 26 points on 8 of 13 shooting from three, and all five Spurs starters finished in double figures.

The first half was the story. San Antonio put up 39 points in the first quarter and led 80-0 at the break, both season highs, a sharp response after home losses to Oklahoma City and Houston. The win evened the Spurs at 2-2 and gave them their first victory at home this season. Next up is a quick turnaround with a back-to-back at Utah.

Sacramento stayed winless despite a big night from Domantas Sabonis, who posted 20 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. De’Andre Hunter added 24 and Zach LaVine had 22, but the Kings couldn’t keep pace once the Spurs got rolling. If you grew up on Spurs basketball around Ellis County, this one’s worth talking about. Do you think this is the start of a run, or just one hot night?
