Landman Season 3 is filming around Fort Worth, and Legacy Casting is looking for background extras from across the area. The Texas-based agency is filling roles for roughnecks at a man camp, ICU doctors, nurses, patients and visitors, concert attendees, and photo doubles matched to specific heights for band members. Pay ranges from $110 for ICU patient roles up to $250 for photo doubles, with roughnecks and real-life nurses earning $200 for a 12-hour day.
The shoot schedule spreads across the region. Filming starts October 30 in Jacksboro, moves to Cresson on November 2, and finishes November 3-4 in Weatherford. Concert attendee extras must be between 18 and 30 years old. If you’ve got a flexible schedule and want a firsthand look at how a streaming production runs, this is about as close to home as it gets.
The Billy Bob Thornton series has earned a following in Texas for its close depiction of oilfield work, and Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger that sets up the new season’s drama. Productions like this also bring spending and attention to the towns where they shoot. Would you sign up for a day as an extra, or would you rather just watch from the couch?
