Tyler Weinerfest 2026 Brings Dachshund Races and Dog Lovers to Pollard Park

Long dogs, short legs, and a whole lot of barking. Tyler’s Weinerfest 2026 takes over Pollard Park on Saturday, November 14, from noon to 4 p.m. at 710 Amherst Drive. The wiener dog races are the centerpiece, but the event welcomes dogs of every breed, so your lab, terrier, or shelter mutt can come along for the ride.

This year brings the first annual King & Queen Coronation, along with local vendors, food, and family activities. Organizers are also looking for more vendors, and a booth runs $50, which is a low-cost way for local small businesses to reach holiday shoppers. Handcrafted leashes and specialty treats are already on the vendor list, so expect plenty of pet-friendly shopping.

From Waxahachie, it’s roughly an hour and a half up Highway 175 and I-20, an easy Saturday day trip if you’re up for a fall drive into East Texas. Race and coronation registration is available through the event website. Plan to arrive early, keep your dog leashed, and bring water for the pups.

Are you making the drive? Tell us your dog’s name in the comments and we’ll cheer for them.
