A Southeast Texas family says their oldest son, Kayson, photographed a large dark figure while setting up an audio recorder with his grandmother in a national forest. According to the account, Kayson felt a sensation on his neck, turned around, and snapped the picture. After enhancing the image and creating a negative version, the family says it shows facial features and possibly a deer being carried. The sighting was submitted October 15 to the Sasquatch Chronicles website.
There’s no independent verification, and the exact forest location and date weren’t specified, which leaves plenty of room for debate. Photographs taken in dark wooded areas are notoriously difficult to interpret — branches, shadows, and camera noise can easily look like faces and figures once you start enhancing.
Still, Bigfoot lore runs deep in the Piney Woods, and this story has all the elements of a good campfire tale: a curious kid, a grandmother, a strange feeling, and a possible deer. Believers and skeptics alike have something to chew on while the family’s photo makes the rounds online.
What’s your verdict — does the photo show something real, or is it a trick of the trees? Sound off in the comments.
