The KBEC Big Game Bash and Auction Weekend

Early February was a whirlwind for KBEC Studios this year! With both our Big Game Bash drawing and the KBEC Auction on the same weekend, we certainly had a blast.

On Friday, February 3rd, we had the official Big Game Bash drawing.  After hundreds and hundreds of entries, it was Gary Killen and family of Waxahachie who walked away with the grand prize: a 40" LCD HDTV, 5 Large Papa John's pizzas, $50 in gift certificates to HEB, and $100 cash.  Congratulations to our big winner!

The next morning, Saturday the 4th, we had our Bi-Annual KBEC Auction!  All of our auction items added up were appraised at over $5,000 in value.  Although we started at 8 in the morning, everything went briskly this year and all items had a new owner by noon.  We still have people coming by the station to pick up their winnings.  If you won an auction this year and have yet to pick up your item, be sure to do it by this Friday, February 10th!  All items not picked up by this time will be sold off on an first-come-first-serve basis the following Monday.

All in all, it was a great weekend.  Not only did we have a great deal of fun, we helped a lot of folks along the way get some good deals.  The next KBEC Auction is scheduled for early August and we will have more information on that event once we get further along in the year.  Thank you to everyone who participated in our events this weekend and a special thanks to all our sponsors who helped make this happen.
